Morocco: high-speed by solar power

The 350 kilometres that ran from Tangier to Casablanca will be cover by the first high-speed rail line in an African country by 2014.
Works are planned to begin next June and will be financed by France and European Union, besides by Morocco.
Works have been entrusted to the French transport industry Alstom. The company have committed itself to build power generation plants up on the Moroccan territory, in order to use the energy so produced for the rail network. Some of these plants will be made of solar panels.
The new Moroccan railway is going to be the first clean energy train track.
